๐Ÿญ How is Red Label Made?

1. ๐Ÿฅฃ Grain & Malt Selection

It uses a mix of:

Malted barley (for flavor)

Grains like wheat or corn (for smoothness)

2. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Malting & Mashing

Barley is soaked, germinated, and dried

Then crushed and mixed with hot water to extract sugars

3. ๐Ÿบ Fermentation

Yeast is added to convert sugar into alcohol

Produces a beer-like liquid called “wash”

4. ๐Ÿฅƒ Distillation

The wash is distilled in copper stills

This increases alcohol strength and refines flavor

5. ๐Ÿชต Aging

The spirit is aged in oak barrels (minimum 3 years by law in Scotland)

Develops color and smoothness

6. ๐Ÿ”„ Blending (Key Step)

Different whiskies from various distilleries are mixed together

This creates the consistent Red Label taste

7. ๐Ÿงด Bottling

Diluted to ~40% ABV and bottled

๐ŸงŠ How to Drink

Neat (straight)

With water or soda

In cocktails (like whisky cola)
